What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is a hybrid of hypnosis and talking therapy to create a state of focused attention. The therapy part, most people understand. In this day and age, people are familiar with therapy/counselling – they have either had therapy or counselling themselves and if not, know someone close to them who have. The hypnosis part – unfortunately most people automatically associate hypnosis with stage hypnosis. A clinical hypnotherapist will most definitely not to do this. Hypnosis is a completely natural phenomena which happens to humans in everyday life. Examples are when you are completely focused on one single thing such as driving…how many times have you driven to your destination but cannot remember part of the journey? In this situation, you are in trance/hypnosis. However, if a child or animal ran out in front of your car or if a danger on the road took place in front of you then you would be able to react without hesitation. Being absorbed in a good book or film are other examples of being in hypnosis. You are focusing your attention on one single thing but you are in absolute control the whole time. And so when your hypnotherapist does hypnosis on you, your conscious mind relaxes (as it does when you sleep), then you are able to focus your unconscious mind solely on what your hypnotherapist is saying to you in order to achieve the end result YOU want. A variety of challenges you are facing, emotionally, mentally and physically can be helped by hypnotherapy. CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY -
INITIAL SESSION
The initial session involved discussing in detail your goals for therapy and agreeing a treatment plan.
Includes an introductory hypnosis session which is recorded and sent to you after the session to practice self hypnosis.

CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY -
BESPOKE SESSION
Following on from the initial consultation session/ previous sessions, a bespoke hypnotherapy session will be built. The format is normally a combination of talking and hypnosis. Clients can incorporate other therapies such as Reflexology or Indian Head Massage for ultimate relaxation or to combat a particular issue such as IBS, stress, anxiety, fertility etc.
Hypnosis recording will be send following the session.
